This weekend saw the opening of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
It's a refit of the ill-fated Aladdin Casino which Robert Earl and his partners in the venture bought in 2004 for $800m. Earl has spent $1bn re-fitting it with a movie theme.
According to The Daily Telegraph:
To make that splash, Earl has called upon dozens of his famous friends, including Planet Hollywood investors Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis, to kick off the renovated resort. The list of celebs is impressive - Arnold Schwarzenegger, Andre Agassi and Pamela Anderson are among them - but the coup of the weekend is a concert given by notoriously stage-shy Barbra Streisand.
I'm Not Obsessed reports that the ex-Mrs Bruce Willis Demi Moore and her young beau Ashton Kutcher attended the opening.
We don't think many stars will stay here when the less tacky Bellagio is directly across the strip but it certainly has star connections, so who knows?
The Deluxe Rooms don't sound that deluxe to us:

Anyway, there are some pics on LA's The Place including this one of a "Pulp Fiction standard room":
