We've received a lot of worried emails from celebsonholiday readers after Ben Fogle contracted a flesh-eating bug whilst in Peru last week.
We've contacted him to pass on all your best wishes and have received the following message back from his manager...
"Thank you for your concern. Ben is just waiting to hear which strain of the bug he has, and once we know that then treatment will start. He has been hugely touched by everyone's messages and thanks everyone for their support. If you could reassure his fans and say that he will soon be on the way to recovery - and the South Pole! "
Fogle, 34, is set to take part in the Amundsen Omega 3 South Pole Race in December 2008 as part of Team QinetiQ, which includes Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell and newly appointed team member, Ed Coats, a 28-year-old hospital doctor from Bristol
