VIDEO: A tribute to vintage travel adverts

We recently hosted a poll on travelweekly.co.uk asking our readers ''whose turn of year advertising campaign was the most memorable".  Thomson's 'welcome to our world' came top, closely followed by Thomas Cook's 'don't just book it'.

Eagle-eared/eyed readers may remember the 'don't just book it' slogan isn't new - it was originally created in 1984 and last used 15 years ago.

Which got us a little nostalgic for the travel adverts of yesteryear.

So, love 'em or hate 'em - and despite the fact there are no celebs involved - we here at Celebsonholiday raise a glass to toast the most memorable travel adverts from the last 25 years

British Caledonian: I wish they all could be Caledonian (1982)

Lunn Poly: Get away

Thomas Cook: Teddy (1984)

British Airways: Manhattan (1983)

British Airways: Face (1989)

What do you think? Have we missed any?
