Tourism Fiji has appointed Adeline Lee-Erasito to the role of marketing services manager. Her role will include handling Tourism Fiji's international media visitation program as well as taking responsibility for the further building of the destination's wedding and honeymoon, MICE, sports and special events portfolios.
Scott James has joined Superbreak Mini-Holidays as sales executive, Midlands and East Anglia. He forms part of the operator's six strong team of sales executives who cover the whole of the UK and who play a key role in growing trade sales.
James has more than seven years of experience in the retail travel industry and most recently held the position of store manager at Thomas Cook in West Bromwich for three and a half years.
BMI has appointed Sam Day as head of commercial communications to lead communications for the airline, raising awareness of the BMI brand, with emphasis on driving sales both in the UK and internationally.
Most recently, Day was PR manager at Gold Medal Travel Group. Prior to joining Gold Medal Travel Group, Day looked after all brands under the MyTravel umbrella including Airtours, MyTravel airline and engineering, Going Places, Cresta Holidays, Panorama, Manos, Direct Holidays, Tradewinds.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has appointed Andrew Winterton to the newly created position of president, suppliers, products and technology.
Winterton is replacing Mike Koetting, who was executive vice president of global supplier management before recently being named chief operating officer, CWT North America.
Winterton will also assume the responsibilities held by Loren Brown, chief information officer and executive vice president, technology and product management, who will leave CWT in July to pursue new interests.
Kuoni has announced the appointment of Fiona Blaszkowski as director of public relations and brand development for Kuoni UK. The role is an extension of the previous head of PR role and will include responsibility for driving PR events, campaigns and related brand partnerships ment with the marketing team.
During her career, Blaszkowski has worked in management at Conde Nast Traveller, Tatler and as director at Altitude and Exosphere.
Park Plaza Hotels has appointed a new director of sales and revenue to head up its UK team. Manju Goel, previously vice president of sales and marketing at Millennium and Copthorne Hotels, will oversee revenue generation for Park Plaza Hotels across the UK.
Andy Harmer joins from ACE as the sales and marketing director with overall responsibility for the business; Mick Dupont, formerly with Star Cruise, joins in a sales role in charge of key accounts nationwide; and Margaret Eva, formerly with Voyana and Sovereign, will take on new responsibilities as reservations manager as a maternity cover.
