Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, famed for taking the last-ever photograph of John Lennon, has put together a series of black and white photographs chronicling key moments behind the scenes of The Peninsula Hotels chain in "Portraits of Peninsula".
In the photos, Leibovitz moves away from her usual intimate celebrity portraiture, to focus on the pageboys, housekeepers and bellmen behind the Peninsula Hotel brand.
Leibovitz was given free rein of the hotels, both their public spaces and back-of-house areas, shooting whichever scenes or staff members that she believed best represented the hotels.
Of the shoots Leibovitz said: "After shooting at four Peninsula hotels for this campaign, I truly understand the significance of what we are shooting - the real stars of The Peninsula Hotels - the wonderful caring staff.
"It was really moving photographing them, and by the time I had finished, I felt that I had a real insight into the people who work for the Pen and the pride they take in their work. I have been looking for stories like that for years"
And Hotel Girl thinks the results are quite lovely.

I would say that Bruce Willis, John Malovich, Helen Mirren and Brian Cox were perfectly cast, but Morgan Freeman's talent was a waste as he's not really apart of the movie so much so that role could have had a less known actor who needs a break.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit a lot more than just your thoughts? I mean, what you say is crucial and every thing. But its got no punch, no pop! Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

This is definitely a weblog that individuals should get behind. The difficulty is, nobody desires to do a great deal of reading and not have something else to stimulate the mind. I've to say, I dont know if its the clashing colours or the bad grammar, but this blog is hideous!
